Justin Love’s recent single, “Get Out” featuring Gashi, has been the highlight song of this summer, amassing 500k streams in just 2 weeks since release. Love and Gashi have unveiled an amusing video to accompany the song.
The Get Out video revolves around inspiration and celebration, showing Love and Gashi reap the rewards of their hard work after grinding for years in the ultra-competitive music industry. They’re “mini-mes” are portrayed by two cute kids who envision their futures ahead, complete with fancy cars, big houses and the lavish lifestyle of achieving your dreams.
Justin Love and Gashi had the following to share words to share about the Get Out video:
“I always strive to act as a role model to the younger generation and show them what hard work looks like. This video is a glimpse through the eyes of a young me to what can be achieved through years of determination.” – Justin
“This record and video are one of the greatest songs / videos I’ve ever been a part of and I’m very excited for the world to see this work of art.” – Gashi
Justin Love earned a Grammy nomination earlier this year for H.E.R.’s smash hit Focus, contributing as a songwriter. Get Out has amassed over 500k streams in a couple of weeks since its release, his third single of the year following up Runaway and Bad Mind. Love still has a few more songs up his sleeve that he’s excited to share before the end of the year.
Back with a new and impressive single titled ‘Higher Mentions’, Australian based artist Driftwood is adding another piece to his project. Becoming a unique artist hasn’t been easy, but his work has definitely proven successful in this new track that is accompanied by an additional music video. It tells a slight narrative that Driftwood himself created to also allow the viewer to make up their own version of as it progresses.
“I generally fly under the radar and don’t like to make a fuss about the fact that I do have a hand in every part of my creative process. I like to paint pictures through music and film, but I don’t like to star in any of my videos and prefer to collaborate with people who inspire me. I am fascinated by literature, music, film and life, and I strive to tell stories across audio & film to provoke thought and emotion.” –Driftwood
With a skillset and mindset that sets him apart from other artists, Driftwood can be expected to continue to produce content that makes you think as well as enjoy overall with his unique electo-hip hop sound. Keep your eye out for more from this artist and follow him below to keep up to date!

One of my favorite bands (PERIOD) dropped a new song & music video last month and it’s fucking great. The vibe that Jungle creates with their music is just infectious. Their sound is classic but at the same time it just makes you want to dance. Please remember that this is coming from a guy who hates to dance but what are you supposed with something like this. I can barely sit still listening to it now as I write this post. If you aren’t familiar with Jungle I feel sorry for your life! Go see them live and stream everything you can get your hands on asap.
Sometimes my friends do really cool things. In this case the good homie Jemayel Khäwåja got a chance to join the legendary Tommy Chong on his new talk show “Almost Legal”. Jemayel is an incredible writer and is currently the “Editor-at-large” for Thump. You can also find him creating amazing content for “people & companies who can’t post good” at Black Circle Media. Check out the episode and add him as a friend on Facebook. The industry needs more people like him for sure.
From Jemayel:
“A few weeks ago I was a guest on Tommy Chong’s new talk show ‘Almost Legal’ to talk about dance music. The episode is up, and all I can say is that I hope my mum doesn’t watch it.”
Yung lean is back with a new track and video after putting out pretty much another over the last 12 months. “Hoover” bangs with solid production from the almighty Yung Gud and Young lean’s flow is sounding better than ever. Well done boys.

Danny Seth’s “Perception” is one of my favorite hip hop projects of 2015. His lyricism and energy is refreshing for an old hip hop head like myself and I was lucky enough to be in LA during his first official show and Danny did not disappoint. Check out his performance of “I Arise Because”. It was probably his best track of the night and I was lucky enough to catch thee whole thing.

I’m always happy to hear new music from Flume. The Ausi producer is a genius and he continues to make shine with “Some Minds”. More info on this track and video down below.
‘Some Minds’, is the new release from Australia’s most accomplished producer FLUME. The track features vocals and lyrics by Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt.
The video is the result of a collaboration between Flume, the Sydney Opera House and respected director Clemens Habicht (Tame Impala, Bloc Party, The Presets). It features dance and choreography from Australian Ballet member Callum Linnane. Granted exclusive access to the iconic Australian building, the shoot took place throughout the night one Saturday in April.
The premiere of Some Minds video and track release, via Mom & Pop in the US on Thursday 5/28 coincides with Flume’s sold out, headline performances at Sydney Opera House’s Vivid Festival (part of FCX: 10 years of Future Classic) on Friday 5/29 and Saturday 5/30.
Flume will spend the rest of 2015 touring internationally. The next US date is Governor’s Ball.
