Video: Flume – Some Minds

Video: Flume – Some Minds

I’m always happy to hear new music from Flume. The Ausi producer is a genius and he continues to make shine with “Some Minds”. More info on this track and video down below.

From Pitchfork

‘Some Minds’, is the new release from Australia’s most accomplished producer FLUME. The track features vocals and lyrics by Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt.

The video is the result of a collaboration between Flume, the Sydney Opera House and respected director Clemens Habicht (Tame Impala, Bloc Party, The Presets). It features dance and choreography from Australian Ballet member Callum Linnane. Granted exclusive access to the iconic Australian building, the shoot took place throughout the night one Saturday in April.

The premiere of Some Minds video and track release, via Mom & Pop in the US on Thursday 5/28 coincides with Flume’s sold out, headline performances at Sydney Opera House’s Vivid Festival (part of FCX: 10 years of Future Classic) on Friday 5/29 and Saturday 5/30.

Flume will spend the rest of 2015 touring internationally. The next US date is Governor’s Ball.

San Holo – Victory EP

San Holo – Victory EP

Monstercat continues to work with some of the best producers on earth including the man behind this post, Dutch born San Holo. His Victory EP is just brilliant. The production quality and melody selections are top tier and I would pay good money to see this guy live. The only issue I have with this project is that it’s only 3 tracks long! I first heard the title track “Victory” about a week ago and decided to wait for the full release before posting. I know I’ve posted a lot of EPs today but you can’t slow this music down and as long as it keeps coming my way, I’ll do my best to keep it going out to you. Enjoy!

Persian Empire – DONC (EP)

Persian Empire – DONC (EP)

Damn this entire project just just so dope, This is my first taste of the work of Sam Khatam aka “Persian Empire” and I know it will not be my last.  Germany has always been known for it’s talented producers in electronic music but I don’t think I’ve ever heard somebody with beats like this come out of Deutschland before.  I love his use of samples on his tracks which is often missing in a lot of today’s “Bass” or “future bass” music. Check out his bio and links below and support “DONC” with a dl from his bandcamp page. Straight fire right here!

MORE:

Sam Khatam better known as Persian Empire is a young upcoming producer from Germany.
Music was always a big influence in Sam’s life, therefore it’s hard to date the beginning of Persian Empire. After traditional music lessons in his youth, Sam discovered the great variety of the electronic music scene, which he became acquainted with.

In 2011 he started to produce his own compositions, by using selfmade sounds along with edited samples. The self-taught artist deconstructs the traditional structure of music and transforms his samples into a detailed electronic sound. Smooth synthesizers, deep bass beats and experimental vocals create harmonic compositions, which extend the diversity of the “bass” and “2-step” genre. When he isn’t producing his own music, Sam is collaborating with selected artists from around the world and gets featured in numerous blogs and mixes.
In a short period of time he found his own way of expression to meet with good response within the community.

Daruma – Vol. 001

Daruma – Vol. 001

Introducing – Daruma – A record label/ collective featuring some of the freshest producers in the game. With a stacked roster including AH favorite XVII, it appears that another squad has teamed up together to increase their awareness across the net. This is a strategy that has worked great for collectives such as Moving Castle, and Soulection and from what I can hear in their first compilation, I have a feeling that it will only be a matter of time before these guys are all doing big things as well.

Check below for links for all their members and let me know what you think of the project.

Feeling This – #3

Feeling This – #3

The hits keep coming in this week’s installment of “Feeling This” with a playlist built heavy on those future vibes that I love. There is so much new music being put out every week and it’s just crazy to me how good so much of it seems to be. Every week I discover at least 4 or 5 new producers who all appear to be under 21 who just have crazy skills when it comes to structuring these beats. I can;t get enough and hopefully you are feeling them as well. I already have 5 tracks for next week so bump this while you can! Tracklist is linked up and down below.

Hit-Boy ft. Travis $cott – All Night

Hit-Boy ft. Travis $cott – All Night

I have been a big fan of Hit-Boy’s beats for a long time and yesterday he dropped this very dope track with Travis $cott. This is not your typical rap song and that’s why it’s better than a lot of the crap out there right now. The beat is godly (of course) and the energy is sort of trippy as you are carried through this very trappy track. Travis brings his usual energy but doesn’t go crazy or anything as you hear him through out the track. Hit-Boy who is always trying to push the envelope with his music and “All Night” is no exception. Much respect!

Sango – Papers

Sango – Papers

Soulection is on a roll today! Sango just liberated this awesome beat from his hard drive about 20 hours ago and now you get to peep it right here on AlwaysHustle. “Papers” holds down Sangos style, with a dope vocal sample that is fucked with just enough with out making it too annoying. As for the rest of the beat it’s everything we love about Sango: Super chill with a banging bass line and superb drum selection. You can never go wrong with this guy and if you will be in one of the cities posted below, you betetr go see him live before that shit gets too expensive.

Video: KR – Play My Shit (Prod. By PYRMDPLAZA)

Damn this beat is fire! I can’t say that I’m the biggest fan of KR’s voice (just a little to nasally for me personally) but his song “Play My Shit” has a very cool flow and vibe to it. I’s also hard to be mad at a video with 2 very fine women in it so for the beat and the ladies alone this video is worth some love on AH. Follow KR and PYRMDPLAZA down below.

The Magician – Together

The Magician – Together

The Magician strikes again with his third release on his label POTION and it sure is an awesome track. The Magician live is one of the best DJ sets you will ever see in your life. His song selection combined with his own production skills are some of the best in the game and he is truly a personal favorite of mine.
“Together” has his signature sound pumped through the whole track and I’m sure it will be a favorite at many festival and club shows this summer.

FROM POTION:

Release Date : 22nd of June 2015

This is only the 3rd release on The Magician’s embryonic label POTION, following on from his global hit “Sunlight” (featuring charismatic Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander) and Arches soon to be smash “New Love” featuring Karen Harding.
The first piece of original music in over 6 months takes The Magician sound in to ‘Future House’ territory with all the uplifting qualities you come to expect from the Belgian producer.

Sam Gellaitry – Glacier & Nah

Sam Gellaitry – Glacier & Nah

It looks like Sam Gellaitry is testing out some new sounds as the young UK producer has unleashed 2 new tracks to his soundcloud page. Sam keeps things bouncy with Glacier, giving us some familiar sounds sound that jump right into a very crispy synth at the 2:27 mark. On “Nah”, it really feels like Mr Gellaitry is testing out some new ideas and while the song doesn’t feel like it’s finished, it still had me going and wanting more. I hope we get a new full project from Sam soon but until then we will just have to settle for these. Enjoy.

Also if you’re going to be out in Glasgow this weekend, you can catch Sam & some other dope DJs at The Art School for the “ASTRAL BLACK – BIRTHDAY BALL-OUT”
