I really like your sound. I think that this scene needs more dope female producers and I am down to support you however I can. I hope this blog post finds you well. Keep up the good work.
Rare are female beatmakers. For this, we couldn’t be happier to be supporting the adorable, sassy a/f Polar Youth on her rise from basement obscurity to what is almost certainly a bright future in music.
I’ve been pretty excited about the new project from Groundislava and today we get a stream of “Girl Behind The Glass” featuring Rare Times. The song is soft and sort of floats along with Rare Times’ vocals reminding me of Tonedeff from back in the day (similar voices for sure). I’ll post more from “Frozen Throne” (GIL’s new album) as tracks become available.
“Girl Behind The Glass” ft. Rare Times is the first track on Groundislava’s upcoming ‘Frozen Throne’ LP due September 22nd (UK & ROW via Friends of Friends) /23rd (USA via Wedidit).
Thanks for listening! So excited to share this one 🙂
Sam is crushing it right now. The way he transforms songs with his signature sound seems effortless and even though this is only a couple of minutes long, it still catches your attention because it’s just quality music. Keep it up Sam and lets get you to the states stat!
I don’t know what to call this crazy track. All I can say is there were moments where I was scratching my head and then there were some where I couldn’t stop nodding my head. The head nods obviously won which is why you are listening to it now.
eu-IV (Pronounced “YOU-FOUR”) recently uploaded this very fresh beat to Soundcloud. This sound takes me back and instantly gets me into freestyle mode. I really need to get my shit set up so I can stop talking about doing this rap thing. Soon enough I guess..
I can barely stand The Weekend on his own but when you get Kygo to remix anything I’m going to be interested regardless. Once again he doesn’t let us down with his version of “Often” as once again we have another classic remix. I’m sure we will start to hear folks playing this one in their sets real soon.
Im announcing my next tour on wednesday, which will include dates in both America and Europe. Keep an eye out for more information on my facebookpage and twitter
This song is incredible. I know I come off sounding ignorant sometimes with my brief and often times very vague descriptions of these tracks, but what you have to understand is I’m discovering this stuff right a long with you. I had never heard of Slow Magic before today for whatever reason and I feel cheated. Luckily, Slow Magic is now on my radar which means you will get everything they put out going forward. Enjoy this one, I’m on my third listen.
‘Hold Still’ is the newest single from the new record ‘How To Run Away’ releasing September 9th via Downtown Records. The album is available for pre-order at:smarturl.it/SlowMagicRunAway
A dope new remix from the homie AWE dropped today and of course I’ve got it for you right here. I really love the way he produces and once again he delivers something special. More info down below.
As promised, following the release of Plasticman Remastered, Plastician delivers a series of Remix E.P.’s featuring some of the most exciting producers of today taking their spin on some of his classic grime productions.
Varying in styles and tempo, Plastician showcases some solid remixes from old pals like N Type & Surge and Starkey, and continues to bring forth exciting new talents in the shape of Terrorhythm family – AWE, Boxed label crew and master of the “Peace Edit”, Mr. Mitch, and Glaswegian grime lord Inkke on the first of three forthcoming E.P’s in the series.
These E.P’s will be following eachother every 2 weeks from the release of Plasticman Remastered (containing 25 of the originals) on July 14th 2014.
I’ve always been a big fan of Big K.R.I.T ever since I got a chance to meet him in person almost 5 years ago. His latest drop features Rico love and a sick beat from Jim Jonsin. I’m glad to see he’s still killing it and I’ll do my best to keep you updated with whatever he’s up to.
