Teksupport has re-shaped the city’s nightlife since its 2014 foundation, discovering incredible raw and industrial spaces and transforming them for large scale one-off underground dance events with bespoke production. In the coming months alone they will host the likes of Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Maya Jane Coles, and Sven Väth, showcasing the strains of house and techno they are committed to championing. We imagine Gather is going to continue this trend.
“For the love of dance music, we come together in nature.” Teksupports mission will once again come to life in upstate New York in the Catskills on Memorial Day Weekend 2019. The festival’s massive lineup will be rolling out any day. Sure to be packed with powerful performances, the event will undoubtedly draw Dance Music fans from everywhere.
Fitting with Teksupports’ mission, Gather will offer an experience not only focusing on top-notch dance music but also immersion in the Catskills’ canopy of color. Though still shrouded in some secrecy, dance music fans can expect a magical musical moment to take place in a sprawling landscape draped in color, from May 25-26 in Monticello, NY.
After first releasing her own music in 2010, Joye Muniz’s underground fame spread worldwide like wildfire. DJ Namito ran the underground scene in Berlin, until most recently releasing a double LP entitled Letting Go which garnished national acclamation. Recently, the two elite musicians hailing from Deutschland, came together to deliver a classic EP Me and Da Beat.
The German DJs start strong with a fire track featuring Quinta Jones over crazy synths and a slap-happy bass line.
They reached deep in their toolboxes to bring to life “Beside My Beat”. A fever dream sound created by combining cutting tones and sharp percussion with hollow progressions, strings, and vocals.
They paint the final stroke of their portrait as powerfully as the first, drafting Desert Hearts lead, Mikey Lion, to craft a salacious tech house rinse.
All Day I Dream and label boss Lee Burridge put together an emotional 13-piece compilation that emotes the beauty of winter sun while serving as the perfect transition into the newness of spring. The Winter Sampler includes artists we know and love as well as newer producers. The all-star list includes Newman, Rowee, Facundo Mohrr, Modd, Essáy, Simon Vuarambon, Hauy, Hermanez, Fulltone, Roy Rosenfeld, Amonita, Makebo, and Yuichiro Kotani and Hiroyuki Kajino.
This sampler evoked tranquility and calmness, like the feeling of standing in a quiet snow-covered field with brisk temperatures yet the subtle warmth of the distant winter-rays. Every track on collection is dreamy and ethereal, and like the slow melt of winter ice, the sampler will melt away your worries. Stream it now on Spotify.
The Irish-born DJ, Rebūke, is all about challenging the classic tech-house we know and love. DIRTYBIRD gets behind his movement and offers a new EP titled Jump Ship that showcases the artist’s unique style.
This two-track EP pushes the boundaries for a DIRTYBIRD release, and the result is a success. The EP opener, aptly named Jump Ship, is a departure from a typical house track and calls for the listener to pay attention. Rebūke wakes us up from the methodic head-bop of house music and adds unexpected djembe-like drums while playing with different rhythms and beats per minute. This high-energy track will have you gyrating from head to toe. The second track on the EP, The Pipe, is no different in the sense that it’s unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. The whole EP has a jungle-beat vibe to it and The Pipe hits the listener with flute-like synths that serve to transport the mind.
Since stepping on the scene, Rebūke has worked to make an original sound, and Jump Ship seems like a metaphor for departing from typical mainstream rave music and inviting us on his journey. The EP is unique and a pleasure to listen to, and accomplishes the artist’s goal of originality.
Prime Social Group announced the lineup for its 17th installment of their hip-hop and electronic music fueled#Fest (pronounced Numbers Fest), taking place on April 13, 2019, in Athens, Ohio.

The location also homes Ohio University – celebrated as one of America’s top party schools – adding nothing but fuel to the party atmosphere. Hosted at The Venue Of Athens, home to #Fest since 2011, will continue hosting the 17th edition of the festival.

Desert Hearts Records has released a new EP that is guaranteed to keep us dancing well into the New Year. Suprised? Neither are we. With Matt Tolfrey and Lee Curtiss to thank, The EP, aptly named For Your Mind, maintains the staple Desert Hearts house beat we know and love. Who Said That, the EP opener, serves steady percussion and inlays of soft vocals and differing samples throughout. The EP finisher is a bubbly house track and mimics the style of vocals present in the opener. A classic Desert Hearts release, For Your Mind is the perfect reminder for why we love house music.
Both Curtiss and Tolfrey are heavy hitters when it comes to experience. Curtiss is known for his ability to add diversity from different eras into his tracks, while Tolfrey’s success as a DJ has led him to be the owner of his own label, Leftroom. Both artists has a knack for enticing us to the dance floor, and this collaboration will find us hard-pressed to ever leave.
