I will be building this until we get to go home. I love the fact that these guys are still on Soundcloud pumping out new music on NYE. It just shows how dedicated some of these guys and girls are to their craft. It just makes me want to work that much harder for them.
Enjoy and be safe tonight. I’ll try to do the same.

If you know anything about N.W.A, you know this movie is going to be completely full of shit. Sadly, I expect it to still be more entertaining then 95% of all movies that drop next year so I’m sure I’ll see it. I’ll report back once I have.
Another day, another dope playlist. Keeping up with music these days is almost impossible so this is my best effort to stay up on what’s fresh and moving forward. I might change things up next year as I work on the true direction for this site but for now, just enjoy the jams and keep on repping AlwaysHustle.

You have to love it when talented producers make so much good music that they feel compelled to give away tracks for free. Today, this is the case with one of my top pocks for producer of the year in 2014, stwo. “Eden” was originally going to be used as the intro for a future project but instead, we get it for free today and it came just in time as the dreary LA weather needed a song like this to set the mood for our pre NYE festivities. Stay dry yall.
Broken Social Scene is back with their first track/video in 4 years and I am fucking excited. This was another one of those bands that my sister turned me on to which I then claimed for my own very quickly. They play with a lot of raw emotion which I feel keeps their tracks honest and beautiful. “Golden Facelift” is a solid offering for a new single and now I will have to somehow contain myself while I wait for more new music. In the meantime hit play on the track below to hear one of my favorite songs of all time (also by BSS).
New visuals from the saddest mc ever known to the world. Now I wasn’t really a fan of the album that Mr. Lean dropped earlier this year but I still love his movement and just about everything he and his crew does is awesome. So for that, I will give him pass for this sub par track and video and show some love with this post. Enjoy..

Our homie Royal is making his official LA debut on 1/10 with some other very talented DJs and you can check him out for free (before 11). It’s all going down at the Lash pop Up Venue on Las Palmas in Hollywood and all you have to do is RSVP. Check out the playlist up top with some of Royal’s most choice jams and be sure to RSVP down low so we can all party together. Should be a solid night.
NYE is almost here which means it’s time for me to recommend the best party in LA for you to attend. It came down to the wire but I have selected a winner for what should be the best of 2014 (in December at least!). So without further adieu, I give you “Minimal Effort: A Black & White New Year’s Eve at Lot 613”.
Now if you know me personally then you know I love a good party. With that being said, NYE carries the most unrealistic hype of the year which means it can be easy to be let down. I try to take that part out of the equation and really select my NYE plans based on a few things.
1. The Music
Minimal Effort is put on by the Desert Hearts crew, they also have a record label and incredible taste when it comes to selecting the perfect artists for their events. For NYE we get to rock with: DJ T., DJ Three Fur Coat, Human Resources, Mikey Lion, Porkchop, Lee Reynolds, Deep Jesus, & Marbs. These might not be the most well known Djs in the game but remember this is about quality and I have never been to an event from DH that wasn’t perfectly curated with awesome music so even if you don’t know who these guys are, trust in the crew and get ready for some awesome techno.
2. The Venue
It’s at Lot 613 – One of the best places to party till the break of dawn in LA. It will be dark and the vibe will be solid and everyone will be trashed in all the best ways.
3. The Crowd
I dare you to find an asshole or broish DB at this show.. Because it just wont happen. This is where the real fans of minimal sound will come to party. I’m hoping that it just looks like Berlin.
4. The Price
Less than $200 for an open bar? I was in before I saw the ticket price but now it’s a no brainer. Get your tickets here:
So there you have it, my pick for NYE 2015 is Minimal Effort. I promise you will be pleasantly surprised by this event so don’t waste any more time and get your tickets before they turn off sales.
New music from Bearson right here for all of my chill, ambient, tropical, pixie electro loving friends out there! Every day I swear I find out about 5 new artists that really have a ton of potential and I thin Bearson could be up for big things next year. I guess we will find out together.
