DEFFIE – Choirs (YUNG SENPAI REMIX)

DEFFIE – Choirs (YUNG SENPAI REMIX)

Tracks like this always get me pumped up. We already knew that Deffie’s “Choris” was a straight banger, but then you take a new producer like YUNG SENPAI on the remix and the turn up is ever so real. I have no idea who this guy is and assume he’s from Japan (Harajuku District to be precise). To be honest, it’s even better when you get an unknown like this to just light up your original track. Also I love his god damn soundcloud profile pic. A+ on this one boys.

Feeling This: Volume 2

Feeling This: Volume 2

It wasn’t very hard to find music for this weeks episode of “Feeling This”. I wanted to expand a bit from the first playlist by digging into a variety of new sounds, crossing into several sub genres that you might not normally find on AlwaysHustle.com. I found myself playing these songs all week long as really using these tracks as the sound track for my week. I’ve been walking around a lot more vs driving, and having this music to keep me going through my daily work has really made it a lot easier for me to focus. Life is good and so is this music. Thanks for listening. Links for all of the artists can be found below.

ZHU – After Hours Mix (BBC Radio 1)

ZHU – After Hours Mix (BBC Radio 1)

ZHU-Superfriends-+-Faded

ZHU delivers a solid after hours mix for Pete Tong & BBC radio 1. While I was personally left unimpressed by his so called “epic” live show at Hard DOTD lat year, there is no doubt that the guy is super talented. I played this while doing some work earlier and really felt like it contributed to my good mood. So with that being said, I’ve posted it here for you so you can get your Friday night started. Enjoy!

Soulection Radio Show #211 w/ Jay Prince (Live from Europe)

Soulection Radio Show #211 w/ Jay Prince (Live from Europe)

Everything Soulection puts out is pure gold and Jay Prince is one of the shining stars in their stable of incredibly talented artists. Some of the crew has been touring around the US and Europe over the last couple months and while out there grinding, Joe Kay put Soulection Radio’s 211th chapter together for our listening enjoyment. I know Soulection has been doing this for a minute and that most of the cool kids are already up on their sound but this is the kind of music that needs to be constantly supported so it can continue to flourish. Soulection is about the closest thing we have to a sure thing as far as dope music goes, so don’t sleep on the movement and enjoy the show.

Thank you so much for being so patient with us. It’s not normal for us to go this long with out doing the show back to back sessions but just know were working on something so big that it will all make sense soon enough.

For this session we have our man Jay Prince who is representing East London as our special guest. I was able to sit down with him in the Red Bull Studio in New York during our TSOT North America tour last month. He’s one of my favorite artists in the game right now.

I literally have been taking this show with me wherever I go. It’s been one of the toughest to record, in fact it took me 4 different sessions to finish it due to all the moving around.

We’ll be back with our weekly radio schedule soon, stay tuned!

Justin Martin – “Hello Clouds” Tour

Justin Martin – “Hello Clouds” Tour

My favorite DJ in the world is going on tour and I can guarantee that if you go to one of these shows, you will have an awesome fucking time. Justin Martin is part of the infamous Dirty Bird crew and his song selection, production skills and personal style all combine to create an experience that cannot be duplicated in the scene today. Notice the lack of of a LA date.. Thats because the DB camp out is coming and you can bet your ass I will be there. Wearing a god damn pizza onsie and everything.

Everything you will ever need is linked below.

Ali – Dope Fiend (Produced by Bighead On The Beat)

Ali – Dope Fiend (Produced by Bighead On The Beat)

There are a lot of young cats trying to make it in today’s ultra competitive world of hip hop music. Ali is one of them who I happened to run into while checking out my boys new studio earlier this week. I was pleasantly surprised with what I heard from the young Palmdale MC. “Dope Fiend” may not be the most original subject for a song but Ali tells his story with a real feeling of authenticity and Bighead On The Beat provides some very smooth production that fits perfectly with the track’s very catchy hook. I’m looking forward to seeing what these guys are really capable of as I know they are putting in plenty of work right now.

Michael Christmas – Home ft. Royal

Michael Christmas – Home ft. Royal

This track is hardly revolutionary but that’s not why I’m posting it. The production is clean which is pretty predictable whenever you see Royal’s name attached to a project but the real allure to this song is just that it’s fun. Music is all about how it makes you feel. “Home” is something I can bump when I drive by Soho house in my shitty Sabb and bob my head like a fool because I just don’t give a fuck. There will always be a place for music like this and I bet a lot more kids can relate to a song like this vs that bullshit Coldplay is supposed to drop on us this year.

Keep up the good work boys.

Major Lazer – Lean On (Long Shower Cover)

Major Lazer – Lean On (Long Shower Cover)

Long Shower (aka Ben Seaward) is sort of a jack of all trades when it comes to music/multimedia. We first linked up at a house party earlier this year where we chatted over a beer while listening to some of our friends spin some records. Meat was grilled, lots of new friends were made and over all it was just a really good day. I hadn’t really heard much from him since then until recently he hit me up with a rough version of the track posted above. If he would have sent this to me a few months ago, it would have been thrown to the bottom of my ridiculously unorganized “New music” playlist where it surly would have been buried under 100 Drake flips and shitty Duke Dumont and Odeza remixes.

But luckily he got me right as I was in the beginning of what I like to think of as my most recent “rebirth” as far as music goes. For me it’s all about how a song makes you feel by the time you are done listening to it. Ben’s version/cover of Major Lazer’s “Lean On” is different and it drums up feelings reminiscent of when I used to listen to bands like Weezer (like blue album/ pinkerton days) and the get up kids while still holding on to a future sound that I can get behind today. The resulting vibe is a marriage of sounds that you wouldn’t normally expect to hear from a cover and thats why I think other people need to hear music like this.

Long Shower is working on bunch of music and I’ll continue to post it here as long as it continues to sound like this. Thanks for the track sir!
