Danny Seth’s “Perception” is one of my favorite hip hop projects of 2015. His lyricism and energy is refreshing for an old hip hop head like myself and I was lucky enough to be in LA during his first official show and Danny did not disappoint. Check out his performance of “I Arise Because”. It was probably his best track of the night and I was lucky enough to catch thee whole thing.
This is where you will want to be on Halloween eve. We all know how crazy lunice gets but I’m really excited to see Danny Seth. His album “Preception” has been on repeat since it dropped last month and his music has been a huge inspiration for my own.
It should be one hell of a night and on top of Lunice and Danny, you will also hear sets from Cavalier, Eric Dingus, Neo Fresco and Will Brennan. One of the best complete projects I have heard in some time. Danny Seth has inspired me to start writing again both here and in my notebook. His swagger is refreshing, giving true hip hop heads something to talk about as the UK continues to develop some very interesting talent in this genre. Hip hop is so universal in 2015 but in the US there is still a stagnant feel to the mainstream sound that just lacks in real energy and creativity. This may not find it way to the radio, but if I get the chance to see Danny live, I will be there rapping every word right along with him from the middle of the crowd. No green room for this shit. The British are coming and I couldn’t be more hyped to see what DS does next.
