The 6 Year-Long Wait Is Over, Hayden James’ Debut Album Between Us Is Out Now

Australian producer Hayden James is back, and this time with his most ambitious long form project yet, the Between Us album released via Future Classic. James previewed the album last week at Sidney as he headlined in Curve Ball. The album reflects on James’ 6 year long journey building a fan base that earned him over 300 million streams. James is on the verge of sharing his music live with his audience through an Australian, U.S. and European tour, which will be kicked off this August in New Zealand.

With Between Us, the artist elevates his heavenly electronic melodies to a new level, heavily inspired by synth pop. The lead single for the album, Nowhere To Go feat. NAATIONS, forces the audience and dance to the rhythm with its groovy bassline.

James’ sound becomes more spacious as the low ends get amplified with the double-platinum song Just Friends feat. Boy Matthews. Then comes Better Together feat. Runnin Touch, an exotic dance song or rather the missing part of our lives that we have all been searching for.

The self-titled Between Us emphasizes Panama’s soft and passionate vocals and prepares the audience for another euphoric tune with playful melodies, Remember You feat. Elderbrook. Fans should also check out the beautiful visualizers, especially the soothing technicolor-esque visualizer for Between Us.

James is on his way to share a live experience with his audience through his upcoming Between Us tour, starting in August. He will be playing for his largest crowd ever at Los Angeles, New York, D.C. and San Francisco. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch the alternative electronic artist live, get your ticket from Hayden James’ official website. You can also check out James’ new album by clicking here.

#NapGirls – Doing big things for women in the industry.

The homies over at NEST HQ posted an article earlier this week about an awesome group of women that have joined together to help each other achieve their dreams in the typically male dominant world of electronic music. I happen to be good friends with quite a few of the #NapGirls and have been a major supporter of everything they have done from day 1. I’m incredibly proud of them and wanted to give them a little shine on my site and I recommend that you check out the full article here. I picked out a little quote below that sums up what they are really all about.

“At its core, the whole Nap Girls phenomenon is completely organic, so the name of the game for founder Liz Garard and all 120+ official Nap Girls was to harness the momentum and solidify the mission. “It started as kind of a joke, I sent a bunch of friends a Snapchat asking if they wanted to join my gang,” says Liz, who seems to be divinely engineered to start this group. She was a Women’s Studies major at Vanderbilt, active in a sorority and wrote her senior thesis titled ‘The Objectification and Commodification of the Female Body in Rave Culture in the New Millennium: Peace Love and #Ravebooty’.”

The #NapGirls have their first official event coming up later this month and I will keep you posted on the details.

#FutureFeels – Same sweet playlists, brand new name

I know my posts have been few and far between this summer. While still trying to land some kind of steady job, I have not been able to really get back into any sort of regular flow of posting. Then came the depression and all shit just went to hell. The worst is far behind me now and I want to get back into working around the things that I love. This blog has always been a part of me and while I know it barely gets any traffic anymore, it still gives me a chance to collect and share all of the music that inspires me every day.

I will soon be launching a new site to compliment AlwaysHustle. The new site (FutureFeels.com) will be focused around the relationship between music and fashion. It will have few words and lots of imagery and hopefully it will connect two of my passions in a way that will get people excited about what your favorite artists are wearing.

I have also taken on a new gig at MagneticMag.com where I will be managing their hip hop content. I have lots of great things in the works and with time I hope to connect all of these projects under my Quickstrike Media brand and establish a true platform for the content I love and really care about. I will keep you all posted on everything and for now I have 2 playlists filled with dope music for you to check out. Enjoy and I’ll hopefully have more posts for you soon.
