MISOGI – Pink2 (ep)

MISOGI – Pink2 (ep)

I’ve only been following MISOGI for a couple of months and everything I have experienced thus far has just been a pure joy to listen to. There isn’t a lot of info out about this mysterious producer but as I like to say a lot these days, the music speaks for its self. The vibe of this 6 track ep is full on future feels. You can close your eyes to this and go wherever you need to go, be it a state of focus and deep concentration or a lost world of distraction. There is a steady balance of good vs evil through out the entire project with plenty dark, almost medieval trap vibes, paired beautifully with synths that seem almost angelic at times. This is exactly what I want to hear from a “future bass” type of ep and I think Misogi has the potential to take this whole style of production to another level if he continues to build off of this solid foundation. Check it out for yourself and feel free to donate some fundage at the links below. These producers have to eat too ya know.

A dining experience where quality, local and regionally sourced food, chic atmosphere, and diverse choices offer guests the opportunity to create their own unforgettable dining experience. The energy of the restaurant is all encompassing–the buzz of guests and staff, the warm and open design, the modern sushi bar, the fresh spin on American cuisine with seasonality, and the sense of discovery around every corner.

Jai Wolf (New York, NY) – Mixing a unique future sound with hip-hop and pop elements, Jai Wolf is gaining the attention of fans and influential musicians alike. Promnite (New York, NY) – If you’re up for some sexually-charged, sensual production, this is your dude. As one fourth of the new Los Angeles based collective Athletixx, Promnite has many exciting surprises on the horizon, including collaborations with Alizzz, Mr Carmack, Falcons and more.

Pusher (Toronto, Canada) – From Toronto, Canada, ‘Pusher’ blends styles and sounds spanning much of electronic music and extending back into older styles of Rock, Jazz, Classical, and beyond to connect to the ageless human musical condition.

Vaski (Minneapolis, MN) – Vaski is the young Beatport chart-topping, Minneapolis-based producer known for his previous releases on Excision’s Rottun Recordings. He got his foot in the door with Dubstep, but now his sound has become so much more. His early influences ranged from everything to metalcore, indie, and hip-hop. Vaski’s latest work, the ‘Explorer’ EP features him exploring more electro-house and hiphop sounds, while maintaining the hardcore sound he’s known for. He has toured over three continents and his sound has been heard throughout the world. His tracks have gotten regular support from names like Excision, Flux Pavilion, 12th Planet, Diplo, Rusko, Nero, and Kill the Noise.

Sam Gellaitry – Short Stories EP

Sam Gellaitry – Short Stories EP

I have been so out of it lately.. I pretty much forgot this was coming out till about 5 minutes ago. I have been talking up Sam’s work for a while and finally we get a full project from the Soulection standout. I really think it’s solid all the way through and each song has different sections  that really make you want to move. As always the production and mastering are flawless. This is just great work and I really hope this kid blows up. The sooner we get pop stars on beats like these the better..

Video: Haywyre – Insight (Live Performance) [Monstercat Release]

Wanna guess where I’ll be on February 6th? Watching Hawyre do stuff like this in front of a bunch people in Los Angeles. I have been saying for quite some time that the artists who can create the best live experiences will separate themselves from the pack. In this sub genre especially, there has to be a vibe or something extra to really set off the crowd. Haywyre has the right idea. Lots of info down below.
