How can you be mad at a video featuring Kanye West and his father (Ray West) just having a good old time out in the snowy Wyoming wilderness? Shout out to whoever included the clip of the Lama and the donkey because that moment was perfect. Let’s hope we get some more visuals from Kanye’s latest project “Jesus is King” in the near future.
I’m just going to repost what I said about the album on Facebook. It’s not bad by any means but it’s nothing to write home about either. I’m glad to have human Kanye back. I’m glad he’s letting us into his mind a little bit more instead of trying so hard to be something he really isn’t but at the end of the day this will be an album that many people will forget about sooner than later. The album is available to stream below on spotify.
Here is what I said on FB last night (yea I had this shit early).
“To those of you calling it the best hip hop album of the year already, please stop.. just stop right now. It was a fun little ride and I appreciate what he’s rapping about but that’s really about all I’m taking away from it at this time. Kanye is pushing the genre forward with this because he’s choosing rap and hip hop to be the vessel for this message and with the platform he has, he is bringing light to things you wouldn’t expect in the world of hip hop and that is very cool in that regard.
In my opinion though it’s far from what I consider a classic “hip hop” album. It’s original, it’s creative, and even innovative as far as subject matter goes. But it’s not timeless nor is it something that I think will go down as being “classic” in any real way. It’s not the best album of 2018 and it might not even be the best album of this month as far as replay value and vibe goes but I’m not here to hate on it in any way. I appreciate it for what it is and I commend him for using hip hop to talk about what he’s going through but that’s all it really is to me at this time anyway.”
Who else out there loves free stuff? Well I know I do so when I get the chance to share cool opportunities with you guys I try to go all out. We have teamed up with the awesome folks at DoLA and Complex to giveaway 2 tickets to their inagural festival going down in Long beach later this year. New music from Kanye West on this MLK day in 2016. Today we get the full version of “No More Parties In LA”, a track that Kanye started making with Madlib back in 2010. I’ll take this over most of his new shit any day so shout out to Kanye for the freebie!
His verse is so sub par! Still this song is bound to get people acting crazy and the beat is solid gold as almost always. At least he’s kinda trying to be a rapper again which is always my favorite Kanye form. I’m sure this will get taken down soon so enjoy it while you can.

I wouldn’t call this legendary or anything but I can’t say it’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard. In fact, I’m sure this track will spawn some really amazing remixes and hopefully the stems will find their way to the net soon. Until then let the bootlegs edits and refixes roll and lets see what can be done with the latest from some of the biggest in mainstream music.
Just came across this crazy dope track from ShunGu. I love it when people flip vocals like this and now I feel like I’m listening to a whole new song. iwishu.Would can be found on “Sagitarius” which was just released from Hot Record Société. More info below:
This is the 12th and final installment of an astrological series brought to you by ShunGu.

I have been a big supporter of Theophilus London for year. Back when he was working with Machinedrum, I was that guy running around telling the world to pay attention. It looks like his time is coming now and his whole new album is a true gift for today’s hip hop. The best part of this song is re-introduction to Kanye West. Kanye, I don’t know what has been up with you but I have to say that it’s great to have you back. Even if it’s not forever, it’s verses like this that remind us real hip hopheads that you have the potential to make some amazing music and for that alone I am grateful.
