Never Rest, Always Hustle
I’m digging On Planets more an more with every new track I hear. Once again he has teamed up with Emily Warren on a cover/remix, taking on Drake’s “Headlines” for their latest collab. Check out the track and if you are feeling it, be sure to give it a HEART on Hypemachine.
You gotta love it when an artist takes the time to really make a remix/refix/refilpre-whatever their own. The homie JULiA LEWiS take some inspiration from the Bull’s official warm up music in his tribute to the OG Jumpman himself.

More than a nod to drake or future, this one is an ode to Michael jordan (a childhood hero *pre-gambling problems, *pre-misogyny, lol). He wasn’t just an athletic inspiration for me, but also a model for work ethic and determination. I transposed the Chicago bulls warmup song to fit underneath parts of the beat, to bring it all together. Can you catch it?
I really wasn’t looking forward to any of the endless remixes, edits, bootlegs, reworks or whatever people were planning to call their versions of the latest Drake project. However, Alex young continues to evolve from his former dub step sound and gives us something pretty special here. Just to give you some perspective, I only played “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” once and I have already played this one edit a dozen times. Maybe Alex should just do the whole mixtape? I wouldn’t be mad at that.
I love everything about this kid. He’s reaching for sounds that are begging to find their place in one of his future beats. There is some hip hop, some beat scene some future and just a little bit of booty to remind you that trap kids might just like this. Maybe one day I’ll go into each track on their own but you should just listen to this and enjoy.
