Never Rest, Always Hustle
2 Weeks ago SoySauce dropped “Broken Record” and now ANDRU has put his own touches on the track with this remix. It’s got a completely different vibe from the original which sounds like it was chopped up and then rolled back out with some much bigger sounds. Hopefully ANDRU doesn’t take it off soundcloud.. fuck it I’ll just download it now.
I’ve been finding quite a few dope producers on Soundcloud that are all getting cosigns from folks that I’m already following. The reason why I love Soundcloud so much is because there is always some sort of fire being uploaded somewhere and it was probably much like a night like this where I first heard ANDRU.
I won’t lie like I haven’t written like 200+ bars over “Home” already and I have plans for some of his other beats as well but what you can do now is educate yourself and enjoy some free downloads. DO NOT SLEEP ON ANDRU. You will see more posts about him soon. To be honest, all I know is my feed has been on fire since I started following him. You be the judge.
So here we are again. Years later, the same platform that started it all will now hopefully serve as the base for a revival. There is more music than ever and where originality should flourish in a wide open landscape, kids jump at the chance to conform and put out noise that simply mimics whatever is “hot”.
This is a blog that will celebrate the dope. The creativity that keeps music an always evolving art. This will be a blog for those beats that you can’t ignore and for lyrics that ring true to their intent.
I’ll do my best to always bring what I feel is best. Be it live from whatever show I can get a camera into or from the songs I’m able to find as I continue to look for that next big thing.
