Never Rest, Always Hustle
Looks like the anthem for 2015 dropped about a month ago. The only reason I know about Kevin Gates is because I guess he slapped some broad from a reality show in the face and posted it on instagram. His persona appears to be one of those “larger than life” types and some of his music is actually pretty catchy. I’m guessing this incident will just make him more famous so I assume I will start getting more of his music in the near future.
So rather then just let these playlists die on my soundcloud page, I give to you: A WHOLE BUNCH OF AWESOME MUSIC THAT I EITHER DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO POST OR PUT TOGETHER FOR MY WACK ASS X GIRLFRIEND AND NEVER SHARED WITH ANYBODY ELSE!

With so much music coming out every day, I have decided I am only going to post once a day with everything I find. This way you still get all the dope music and I keep my sanity. I will still post features when I think something deserves its own post but you should look out for my playlists at the end of every day.
I posted the original version of “Gangsta” a last week and today, Zagor posted his rework of the same tune. The subtle changes in tempo and effects really give it a different vibe and I’m all about it.
I feel so bad for lagging on my post game but the life of a young hustler does not leave me with much free time. Last week I found 20+ dope ass tracks for you to vibe with. In this week’s installment of “Last Week I Found This Stuff”, I was able to get a variety of tracks listed including some very dope indie rock & hip hop. Take a listen and pass it on!

Lots of dope music on the way and hopefully I can let the cat out of the bag sooner than later on some major news for this here little music blog of mine.
Our homie Vell is back with a very trapped out remix of his smash hit “Oakland”. I loved the original and I still think it’s the better song for the radio but this remix sure does turn up! I can expect to hear this at Control in the very near future. Trap heads stand up! This one is just for you.

Fans of DJ Mustard should familiarize themselves with Bay Area rapper Vell. The young up-and-comer is about to drop a mixtape called STAY DOWN TO COME UP which will be hosted by none other than DJ Mustard and DJ Amen… meaning its only a matter of time before Power 106 starts bumping Vell every hour on the hour.
The original Oakland track was the first from the mixtape to leak (about a month ago) and Vell’s raps are juicy with that hyphy bay-area swagger which compliments Mustard’s beats very well (I’ve always thought of Mustard as a pan-California producer with strong hyphy influences despite being a SoCal boy… Bay Area rap has always had a presence in the LA ‘underground’ scene… Why do you think Andre Nickatina always rolls through on tour?)
To help hype the mixtape, Amen and Mustard got Ash Riser to do a trap remix for Oakland and it’s even more club-friendly than the original. The track goes pretty hard and best of all, the remix is available as a free download! That’s that **** that we do like! (I can already picture all the baes in the bay shaking ass to this).

Man last week really slowed me down on the blog tip. Between getting nasty sick and running off to Vegas for a few days, I wasn’t able to get all of my regular posting up. To make your lives easier, I started making playlists of all of the good stuff that I find on Soundcloud. Some of these I have posted but some I just threw in here just to make sure you didn’t miss anything. They might not all be brand new but they are new to me.
I have a feeling that once people start catching on to Sam Gellaitry’s shit, that trap is going to get a facelift. It couldn’t come at a better time. Everything I’m hearing so far is straight fire bruh.
