Video: Tuxedo – The Right Time (Kaytranada Remix)

I’ve always been a big fan of both Jake One and Mayer Hawthorne but I have to admit that this is the best they have probably ever sounded together. All credit goes to Kaytranada on this one making this song much more listenable. Props to the cool clay animation as well.

Marvel Alexander – DON’T DIE YET (Full Album)

Marvel Alexander – DON’T DIE YET (Full Album)

Straight up I’ll say this album good. You need to put it on when you know you are going to be stuck in your car for a while or if you just have an hour to kill, throw this on and just take it in. Marvel Alexander puts himself out there on “DON’T DIE YET” which appears to be produced by just about everybody I love right now (Sango, Kaytraanada, BBNG, Gravez). Now on paper this looks like it could be album of the year, but after a listen you can tell that Marvel Alexander still has a ways to go before he’s catching comparisons to Kid Cudi and Goldlink.  With all that being said, I like this album and it’s far and away better than a lot of the stuff I’m hearing from the hip hop world right now.

Shay Lia – 3 months (prod. by KAYTRANADA)

One more before I head home and it’s by far my favorite track of the day. Kaytranada has proven time and time again that he is the fucking man. This time with the help of Shay Lia on the vocals, he has given us a soulful track that you just want to listen to over and over again. I love this song. I love it so much I will post the video separately tomorrow afternoon.

Vic Mensa – Wimme Nah (Prod. By Kaytranada)

Vic Mensa – Wimme Nah (Prod. By Kaytranada)

Vice Mensa has been carving out his own lane in the hip hop game every since the Chicago MC started making noise with the likes of Chance The Rapper and some of the other dope MCs coming out of the Chi. To be honest, I enjoy Vic’s flow and voice much more than Chance who can sometimes sound like a cartoon character which just gets fucking old when you ar trying to chill. This is probably the best shit I’ve heard from Vic yet and this beat by Kaytranada is just straight fuego.
