MoSS Feat. Peedi Crakk, Sean Price, Royal Flush & Illa Ghee – “B.Q.P.”

MoSS Feat. Peedi Crakk, Sean Price, Royal Flush & Illa Ghee – “B.Q.P.”

Now this is rap. Hard as hell, MoSS brings some of the grimmest in the game on “B.Q.P” including the one and only Sean Price (Rest in Peace). Check it out & peep some more info on MoSS’ “Marching To The Sound Of My Own Drum” down below below.

Canadian born (and a Toronto resident), MoSS may be a new name to some in the music game, but his production credits are instantly recognizable and have resulted in over 2 million record sales worldwide. Ghostface Killah’s smash hit “Kilos”, Raekwon’s ”Have Mercy”, Obie Trice’s entire Special Reserve album and most recently a collaborative album with Eternia (At Last which was released on Fatbeats).

MoSS got his first taste of notoriety by working with Obie Trice (Shady Records) around 2000. Moss was producing records for Obie, including both his independent singles ”Well Known” and the 12” “Mr. Trice,” which created the buzz that eventually led to Obie’s major label deal. Since then, MoSS has produced for a long list of “who’s who” in the hip hop world, including: Joell Ortiz, Ghostface, Papoose, Peedi Crack, The Game, Slum Village, Boot Camp Clik, Red Cafe, Mr Easy, AZ, Bounty Killa, D-Block (Styles P and Sheek Louch), Termanology, Big Shug, M.O.P., Kool G. Rap, Ras Kass, Omilio Sparks, Proof of D12 and the list goes on.

A former member of DJ Premier’s production label, “Works of Mart”, as Premier’s first ever production signee, MoSS is not only an emcee’s producer, but a producer’s producer as well. Recognized by an elite group in his field, he is known by many as a true “record digger.” Having assisted on price guides, rare record books and various musical anthologies, MoSS eventually started his own reissue label, Strawberry Rain, which specializes in re-releasing rare psychedelic music from around the world, including countries like Indonesia, Iran, France; and even Zambia where he travelled to find records and artists. Strawberry Rain has gained recognition across the globe and has been singled-out by a veritable slew of major media publications.

While his production work for other artists has resulted in him being recognized by outlets such as Rolling Stone, Spin, People and more, today, MoSS officially unveils his debut album, Marching To The Sound Of My Own Drum, which will be released on 11-13-15 and features appearances from Joe Budden, DJ Premier, AZ, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price, Jon Connor, Skyzoo, Inspectah Deck, Ill Bill, Havoc, Onyx, Slum Village, Willie The Kid, Guilty Simpson, Termanology, Peedi Crakk, Slaine and others.

GoldLink & Falcons – Vroom

GoldLink & Falcons – Vroom

The story behind this one goes as so. Goldlink had been using part of this beat in his live sets and when Falcons found out, the two came together (through twitter I believe) to finish the complete song. The end result – Exactly what you needed to ride around town with on this mild LA afternoon.

Quotable Lyrics

You never find a nigga like me put that on my mother
Snake ass, fake ass niggas I don’t trust em
We just say forget em, fuck em, leave em
Find another, I’m a motherfucker
She ain’t safety I’ma bust em
Bitch boost, nigga boost, nigga this ain’t mobile
I’m boosted up, bitch juiced up motherfucker
I tell it like it is, what it be and who I be
That cocky motherfucker who is comin’ out the V

Video: Fashawn – Guess Who’s Back (prod. by Beewirks)

Probably the best to ever really do this rap thing tom come out of the central valley, Fashawn is back with a new video that has me thinking about the 209 real hard. I know that’s in Merced and not Fresno but we pretty much grew up in the same hole. This is such a dope song and I wish Fash all the best as he continues to grind for his city and beyond.

If you’re going to be around LA at the end of the month, cop a ticket and catch Fashawn live at the echoplex on 2/26. I should be out in the crowd. Get Tickets here.

Video Vixens Who Got Their Start in Porn

Video Vixens Who Got Their Start in Porn

Who says porn can’t lead to bigger and brighter things? These five women certainly took an unconventional route, but all of them started in adult films and ended up starring in music videos. Even more surprising, their rise in fame didn’t stop there. Each used her spot as a video vixen to take her career a step further, as recording artists.

aylarLie
Aylar Lie

Aylar starred in only 10 adult films between 2002 and 2003, a relatively low amount compared to others on the list. Then in 2010, she participated in the 6th season of Skal vi danse?, the Norwegian version of the British series Strictly Come Dancing. As her past accomplishments had already made her a big celebrity in Norway, Aylar decided to extended her fame throughout the rest of Europe when she was featured in a few videos by Swedish DJ Basshunter. They included “Angel in the Night” and the 2009 take on “Jingle Bells“.

After her appearance in numerous videos, Aylar was offered her own recording contract with Dance Nation (known as Hard2Beat Records at the time of her signing) in 2010. Later that year she starred in her own video for her breakout single “Some People,” partnering with the duo Ocean Drive on the track.

Kristina_RoseKristina Rose

Since starting her career as an adult actress in 2007, Rose has appeared in over 540 titles. In 2010, she caught the eye of a casting director, and ended up being featured in King Fantastic’s music video for his track “Why? Where? What?.”

In the video, Rose poses as a maid for a well-off couple in Los Angeles. As soon as she’s left alone, she goes around destroying the house. Eventually needing to clean herself up after the destruction, with about half of the video focusing on her fully nude getting in and out of the shower. She then writes “Welcome to L.A.” on the mirror before passing the woman of the house on her way out.

While she hasn’t had her own single as of yet, she did provide guest vocals on the mixtape Zero Heroes by XV.

india
India
Starting when she was just 20 years old, India participated in over 200 adult films between 1998-2008. In 2006, she released her first solo album Role Play, after forming her own record company, Black Widow Entertainment. Other than that the star has been relatively quiet the last few years.

She also hosts her own adult site, Indias Playhouse, but visiting it only gives browsers a notification that it’s currently undergoing a “major face-lift.”

pinky
Pinky XXX

Known for her voluptuous backside that rivals the likes of Nicki Minaj, Pinky XXX has starred in around 100 adult videos since 2006.

Her time as a video vixen intertwined with her the release of her solo album Fuck You! Pay Me! in 2010. In 2012, she appeared in E-Dubb’s music video for “Make it Clap,” using her ass to do pretty much just what
you think. From there she went on to do vocals on rapper Turf Talk’s single “Kryptonight,” Kadillac N PeeWee’s “Work The Middle,” and Parlae’s “She Nasty.”

Skin-DiamondSkin Diamond

Diamond also did things a little out of order from others on the list. In 2013 she released a music video for her first single “Sex in a Slaughterhouse,” which she wrote herself.

Then, in 2014 she was featured in B.o.B’s video for his song “John Doe” alongside adult actress Allie Haze.

She hasn’t shied away from the adult industry however. Earlier this year she was featured on the Performers Of The Year 2014 DVD. According to Adam and Eve, this video serves a compilation of the top pornographic actresses of 2014 as decided by the AVN (Adult Video News) committee.

Maybe every porn star doesn’t have a recording contract in their future, but these stars sure give hope to the ones that haven’t hit it big yet. I’m just not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

Kendrick Lamar – i

Kendrick Lamar – i

“i” is the new single from Kendrick Lamar and not surprising to me, not everybody loves it. I will keep my opinions to myself until the album drops but I don;t hate this at all! People should just appreciate the fact that anything this dude makes is better than 95% of all the hip hop on the radio. That is all!

ACTiON BRONSON & RiFF RAFF – BLUE JaYS (PROD. ALCHEMiST)

ACTiON BRONSON & RiFF RAFF – BLUE JaYS (PROD. ALCHEMiST)

We all know that Riff Raff couldn’t rap with Action to save his life but I gotta support the big homie because he is the truth. The beat is decent but I hope Alchemist didn’t charge anybody for this!

FROM THE FADER:

“For as many collaborative rap projects get announced every week, Action Bronson and Riff Raff not linking for a full length is particularly maddening. Thankfully, on “Blue Jays,” the two reunite a couple years after their still memorable avian-titled “Birds on a Wire.” Riff Raff rocks a blue velour and munches on Raisin Bran, and of course Action Bronson shouts out to sitting in left field with former-Met Gary Sheffield. And if this potential dream duo needs a producer, Alchemist couldn’t be a better anchor, as both rappers flow great on his beats. What senator do I need to write to continue this musical magic? “
